'Bihar mandate was against BJP': Tejashwi Last Updated : 27 Jul 2017 03:31:50 PM IST Tejashwi Yadav (file photo)
After Nitish Kumar sworn-in as the Bihar Chief Minister for the sixth time on Thursday, his former deputy Tejashwi Yadav has slammed him for cheating the grand alliance that ruled the state.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said Nitish Kumar is an "opportunist" who has broken ties with the RJD and shook hands with the BJP to form a new government in Bihar.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, in a series of tweets, lashed out at Nitish Kumar and the Bharatiya Janata Party for a "wicked power grab" that would trigger "repercussions".
However, Tejashwi Yadav denied corruption charges against him and said he had entered politics with a clean slate and was eager to write a positive story.
