Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav & Jayant Yadav set to join Indian Test team in England as replacements: Reports Last Updated : 24 Jul 2021 04:11:59 AM IST Indian opener Prithvi Shaw middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav and off-spinner Jayant Yadav are likely to fly to England as replacements for the injured Indian players. The Indian team management requested for two openers and one off-spinner as replacements for the three injured players. The five-match Test series against England begins on the 4th of August in Nottingham.
The three injured players from the contingent are Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, and Washington Sundar. Washington Sundar, like Avesh Khan, sustained a finger injury while playing for the County Select XI against India in the practice game in Durham.
